Not a 66 in sight! 90047 leads a southbound intermodal through platform 2 at Ipswich whilst a pair of 86's led by 86627 slow for a crew change on 17/04/07. After changing drivers 86627 with 86612 prepare to depart Ipswich with an intermodal train on 17/04/07. A slightly unusual sight of a Midland Mainline 222 at Doncaster - 222021 approaches platform 8 on 05/05/07. It looks like a 60 dragging a Freightliner coal train - it's actually 66562 pushing a dead 60024 and hauling a coal train at the same time! This was the view at Doncaster on 17/03/07. Things are not as they seem here - a dead 60024 is pushed through Doncaster by 66562 which itself is pulling a Heavy Haul coal train on 17/03/07! 60030 brings up the rear of a quadruple light engine convoy at Doncaster on 17/03/07. 66175, 66069 and 66035 are leading. 60043 leads a triple light engine convoy at Doncaster on 17/03/07, with 60020 and 66148 trailing. A slightly different perspective is obtained from the footbridge of 60052 as it races east with empty iron ore hoppers on 07/04/07. The thunderbird for the day was celebrity silver liveried 67029 with large EWS 'beasties' logo on the side (11/04/07). 67001 was the thunderbird loco at Kings Cross on the afternoon of 26/11/07. EWS 67023 was the thunderbird loco for the day at Doncaster on 17/12/07. 67020 leads an unidentified working, presumably from Oak Common, with a rake of charter coaches, known as the North Briton set, through Acton Mainline station heading east, on 20/06/08. 'Thunderbird' 67002 sits at the end of the platforms at Kings Cross on 25/06/08. 67020 leads classmate 021 light engine through Acton on 01/07/08. 67021 brings up the rear of a light loco movement, with 020 leading, seen passing through Acton on 01/07/08.

In a burst of sunshine 92025 makes an appearance at Nuneaton with a southbound intermodal train on 21/02/07. 92017, seen earlier in the day at Trafford Park, Manchester, is seen again at Warrington BQ with a very lightly loaded intermodal train heading north on 30/05/07. 92024, with the industrial backdrop of Warrington, whiles away the hours sat idle at Bank Quay station on 30/05/07.
